Aerial Escapes Festival

A unique blend of retreat, intensive and festival, this will be our first ever Aerial Escape hosted in our home country and we couldn’t be more excited! Join us in Devon, a beautiful county in southwest UK, known for its rolling green hills, abundance of wildflowers, and picturesque views. This vibrant, fun, and uplifting festival weekend will be full of aerial workshops and masterclasses for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced aerialists.

Aerial

Aerial workshops will take place in a beautifully restored barn, which offers stunning 360-degree views of the countryside. The schedule will be filled with a variety of inspiring classes across multiple aerial disciplines.

Workshops will focus not only on technique but also on exploring creativity, understanding theory, and enhancing flow in your aerial practice. Choose from workshops in silks, hoop, trapeze, straps and more, each designed to equip you with techniques and knowledge that will continue to enhance your practice long after you return home.

Camping

The campsite is conveniently located just an 800m walk from the aerial space. It features hot showers, a well-equipped camp kitchen, outdoor firepits and a communal barn perfect for dining and relaxing. Whether you’re freshening up, preparing a meal, or unwinding at the end of the day, you’ll find everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

For those who prefer a bit more luxury, there will also be a glamping option available in spacious Mongolian-style yurts. These yurts come with comfy beds and cozy wood-burning stoves, for the ultimate warm and inviting atmosphere.

Who is this Festival for?

This Escape is open to those with some aerial experience (in any discipline). The basic requirements are that you can climb (on silks/rope) and mount a hoop. When the schedule is released, individual workshops will specify which level they are aimed at and whether aerial inverts are a requirement or not.

Camping/Glamping question?

What is a ceilidh dance?

If you’ve never been to a ceilidh, the most important thing to know is that the dances at ceilidhs are for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never danced before or have two left feet, it’s all about having fun! There is a ‘caller’ who explains each dance and walks it though before the music starts and then will call out helpful instructions as the dance progresses.

How do we get there?

The nearest airports are Exeter (16 miles) and Bristol (57 miles). Tiverton Parkway train station is just a 15 minute drive away and Honiton train station 20 minutes away. National Express coaches also travel to Tiverton nearby and Exeter. If coming by car, you will be able to park on-site for the weekend.
